The Practice
Team
Clinical
Dr Monisha Singh is a part-time salaried GP who provides cover for illness and holidays and enables us to treat an increased number of patients in surgery, at chronic disease clinics and through telephone consultations and home visits.
Our nurse practitioner is available to treat a range of minor illnesses and is also trained in the care of problems such as diabetes,
asthma, family planning, well woman checks and coronary heart disease.
The treatment room nurses are fully qualified in all the traditional nursing
skills. A phlebotomist is also available to take blood samples for testing. Routine
appointments with the nurses for dressings, wound management and ulcers, stitch
removal, injections, travel vaccinations, blood pressure checks and ear syringing
can all be booked via reception. Appointments for blood tests should also be
made via reception.
Administrative
Our practice manager, Mike Bastiman, is based at Hessle and has overall responsibility
to the partners for the operational performance of the practice. He also contributes
to future planning, business development and practice finances. He is available
to discuss any suggestions or complaints you may have.
Our reception team are fully trained - they are here to help you and are acting
on instructions from the doctors. Please help them by understanding the problems
they sometimes face when trying to please everybody. Please be assured that any
information discussed with them is kept strictly confidential.
A small team of administrators, computer operators and secretaries provide essential
back-up support. The practice is fully computerised.
