Improving Access to Primary Care
Posted on 24 Apr 2019
How does the service work?
There are now more routine primary care appointments available making it easier for you to get an appointment at a time that suits you in the evenings and at weekends. Appointments can be booked through your own practice either by telephone or in person.
The Improving Access Service is not a walk-in service – in order to access this service you will need to pre-book an appointment, some on-the-day appointments may also be available. You may be offered an appointment at a practice that is not your usual practice and you may be seen by someone other than your usual clinician.
You can book an appointment up to 8pm weekdays, on Saturday and Sunday mornings and Bank Holidays.
